When I hired Jessica I knew I needed pictures, but I wasn't clear on what I was looking for exactly. I had some portraits taken when I first started my business about five years ago. I wanted to update them because I've changed, and I wanted an updated look for my website.

What I didn't know was just how much I needed pictures. I take my own images of juice for my social media posts, but I had never had any pictures of me in any posts. My messaging was almost all informational. I did a "Content Marketing Session" with Jessica and we made a shot list based on my upcoming newsletter topics, and aspects of my brand that I wanted to highlight.

The session started with hair and makeup coming to my house. I work from home, so our session was at my house, too. I had set out a rack of clothes that my wardrobe stylist and I honed in on, so as we went through our session, I would change outfits everytime we changed a shot setup. That way I got months worth of content from one day of shooting.

First, we shot images in my kitchen of me juicing. It is so great to actually have me in the images! I wanted to share my behind the scenes real life with my audience so then we took images with my cat and me relaxing at home. I use DoTerra essential oils in my juices sometimes and I'm looking forward to sharing more about that in a future newsletter with the images we got. My brand is all about healthy living, so later we took a drive and shot some images in a park with me running, doing yoga and just free spirited images of me walking around. I just wrote my first book and started a YouTube channel so we took images of me in my workspace writing and pictures of me next to a computer with my YouTube channel displayed so I can announce that to my followers.

It's exciting to have a collection of images to pull from everytime I post on Instagram, Facebook and my newsletter. I still take my own images each day of the juices I make and share the recipe but now I have a wider breadth of things to share.

I'm a tech executive so it's important to me to have an updated and professional headshot for Linkedin and our company website. I wanted to appear friendly, approachable, professional and current.

Sunshine came to my office on the weekend. I liked the comfort level of being in my own environment and the flexibility to shoot on the weekend. Shooting on off hours also meant no one was around so our session was relaxed.

I'm really happy with the images. The whole experience was simple and straight forward. I received the images a few days after the session. And, after replacing my image on Linkein my views went up radically.
